Taj Dubai

Taj hotels house travelers seeking authentic experiences given that luxury is a way of life to which they are accustomed. Spanning world-renowned landmarks, modern business hotels, idyllic beach resorts, authentic Rajput palaces and rustic safari lodges, each Taj hotel reinterprets the tradition of hospitality in a refreshingly modern way to create unique experiences and lifelong memories.

The Taj Dubai is a new 5 star luxury hotel located in Business Bay.
With marble floors & mirrored walls throughout the lobby to the chandelier dangling from the ceiling above an array of fresh flowers.  The design, the amenities and the service are impeccable.
The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfy and the robes and towels are super soft. For the light packers the walk in wardrobe will be useless BUT if you’r anything like me and love to have a neat wardrobe all your shoes laid out and your clothes all hung up, then you’d love it and take full use of it the moment you walk in the room and realise it’s there. I love cupboard space when I’m to be at one hotel for a few days. Makes me feel less like I’m away from home living out of a suitcase.

To and from the hotel tips: Taj Dubai is Central to plenty of must see while visiting Dubai, the hotel is only a 5 minute cab ride to places such as The Dubai Mall, Burj Khalifa, The Dubai Aquarium & Underwater Zoo & the Fountains.

Be sure to carry money on you for taxi’s they don’t accept cards – Thank You to one of the lovely staff at the hotel who kindly covered one of my taxi’s because I forgot about this!

Most of our tours were only half an hour from the hotel and we arranged transfers each time. I caught a taxi to The Mall of Emirates to check out Ski Dubai and eat Shake Shak (again) and without traffic it was around 20 minutes. By the time I was heading back, the afternoon traffic had began to build up so I jumped on the train from within the Mall. Not usually a fan of trains or public transport of any kind, It was totally fine, not packed or yuk like Sydney trains and was only 8 dirhum!!!  That’s equivalent to roughly AU $3.00 .. So cheap! It took less than 10 minutes, 3 stops roughly + a 5-10 minute walk back to the hotel ( depending on your pace of course) I was too busy taking photos of the pretty sky and this Rose gold coloured building I found and almost got lost!
Tesoro – The Peruvian restaurant located on the 3rd floor of the hotel is where you’d dine for breakfast, lunch & dinner ( all optional, breakfast may be included) it has a great unrestricted view of the Burj Khalifa. So nice to sit out on the deck early in the morning just after sunrise and have a coffee.
Order pancakes with Strawberries OR banana with fresh cream from the breakfast buffet so delicious!
The shrimp were amazing and make sure you leave room for the Churros with dipping chocolate! Drool!
