For your chance to win a 6 day trip for 2 to New Caledonia click here and in less than 30 words, tell us what you would pack in your suitcase to travel to New Caledonia to discover this beautiful French Pacific Island.
Before writing this article I didn’t realise what more other than laying on the beach and snorkelling New Caledonia had to offer.
There’s everything from relaxation to watersports, diving, fishing, swimming, trekking, horseback riding, and skydiving. For all the foodies, there’s talented chefs and numerous restaurants to choose from.
New Caledonia offers dining experiences of tradition to modernity. They blend the variety of cultures living together on the island using local products and flavours from France.
If it’s a culture fix you’re after, there’s arts, fairs and festivals, Museums and heritage sites to learn of the Kanak heritage. Jump out of a plane, jump on a horse, snorkel, dive, swim, eat or bake until your hearts content.I know I will be.

An incredibly beautiful space transformed and created for ILVE appliances
Italians sure know how to get people together with food.
I had the pleasure of having dinner cooked for me by Giovanni Pilu of Pilu at Freshwater in the Northern Beaches.
As usual I loaded up on the canapés not realising there were several courses to follow.
Thanks for a fun night guys.
I know where my oven will be coming from when I move home 😉😊

LA I love you.
Day trip down to Malibu, back to LA through Calabasas. Seeing and doing something new every time I come back here. I even do a heap of the exact same stuff and I love that too.
Found a cute little road side diner in Malibu. Was like something out of a movie.
I’ve been saying for years now I’d love to run away from the shitty cold winter in Aus for a summer in LA. I just need to do it.
Room with a view please ☝
We chose to stay at the Viceroy this time and it was amazing!
We had a nice big ocean view room perfect for watching the sun set over Santa Monica.
Only a short stroll down Ocean Ave to the Pier and just up Broadway a little further you have shopping hot spots and a heap of sweet eats. If you’re wanting to escape the hustle and bustle that is LA, the hotel has a pretty little courtyard to hibernate in or have drinks, or go for a swim, or all of the above.
IMPORTANT: For all the girls who have hair like mine, only manageable with a good blowdryer, Viceroy have THE BEST blowdryer I’ve ever used in any hotel I’ve stayed at in the states. I realise this probably isn’t the most important feature of the hotel, but I give it a bigger tick of approval just for it. I already can’t wait to stay here again.
